This Diwali season, Tamil cinema delivered two major hits — Bison Kaalamaadan and Dude — both released on October 17, 2025, and have since dominated the box office. As the films near three weeks in theatres, buzz is building around their highly anticipated OTT releases, with fans eager to know when these titles will arrive on streaming platforms.
Film industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai recently hinted on X (formerly Twitter) that the digital debut of both films could happen around the same time, suggesting their theatrical rivalry may continue online. “Will #Bison and #Dude start streaming the same day? So far, there is no official OTT announcement on either film’s social media handles. Looks like the theatrical battle is moving to the streaming space,” Pillai posted.
According to reports, Netflix has acquired the digital rights to both Bison Kaalamaadan and Dude. If the standard 28-day post-theatrical release window is followed, fans can expect both movies to premiere online by mid-November 2025. However, to avoid audience overlap, Netflix might stagger the releases slightly.

The film, funded by Mythri Movie Makers, has R. Sarathkumar, Rohini, and Hridhu Haroon among the prominent cast members and the music directed by Sai Abhyankkar.
